Final Project : Complete Environment Design Bible
I completed my exterior by adding the buildings that would appear in my camera view. I also included props such as street signs, benches, and streetlights to make the scene feel more lively and realistic.
I rendered two different views of the scene: one showcasing the overall building and another providing a closer look to highlight details and place the character.

You are allowed to alter and upgrade each content that has strong design which showcases its functionality well.
List of tasks to be completed:
- (Individual Call Sheet) Polished Artwork: 2000 x 3500 pixels 200 dpi for Interior, Exterior and Props design (Jpeg and psd)
- Complete Environment Design Bible pdf format.
FINAL PROJECT : COMPLETE ENVIRONMENT DESIGN BIBLE
For my final project, I focused on the exterior of the environment I had sketched out in Project 1. I fell behind schedule because I invested more time in the interior. To catch up, I worked more quickly on the exterior. I built it mostly based on my original sketch but made modifications to ensure it looked more solid and like a real building, including adding roof details and other structural elements. Instead of sketching a new design, I made the modifications directly in Blender, using a trial-and-error approach.
3D Building
I added some buildings next to my main building to see how it would look, as my building is located at a corner. This allowed me to cover the back side, which I hadn’t detailed. The additional buildings effectively concealed the unfinished back portion.
Then I switched back to focusing on my main building, adding more details and installing wall lights. The window designs were similar to those in the interior to maintain consistency.

Once I finished the 3D modeling, I moved on to applying textures and materials. I focused on a palette of earth tones complemented by gold accents to capture the elegant essence of the Art Nouveau style.

I added the fog and mist to make it look more like the game environment like mysterious and purplish ambience color. i also added the light fog like the interior shine through the window to the exterior of the building.

Color Editing
After the raw rendering, I used Photoshop to adjust the colors, making them darker and adding a purplish tone. I edited the character into the scene and adjusted its colors to ensure it matched the overall environment of the scene.

REFLECTION
Throughout this semester, I’ve learned a lot in the environment design module. From concept to final execution, it really took a significant amount of time to build everything up. The sketches and breakdowns were crucial in helping me transition my concept into 3D. There were times when I questioned whether choosing a separate project from my Game Art module was the right decision. Midway through the semester, I struggled to complete the work exactly as I had imagined and wanted it to be. However, I pushed myself throughout the process, even when I often found myself stuck or avoiding the work due to a fear of not being able to produce something beyond my current abilities. Overall, this semester has been a challenging yet rewarding experience, and I look forward to continuing to grow and refine my abilities in environment design.
This semester was my first time really working with Blender, and I found myself relying heavily on tutorials. Learning as I went, while trying to complete the assignments, took more time than I initially anticipated, but it was a valuable learning experience. By the end of the semester, I felt a sense of accomplishment in the journey of learning something new and applying the concepts and processes to create the final outcome. I’m grateful to Mr. Kannan for his guidance.
I enjoy receiving feedback because I want to improve, but sometimes I avoid class because I feel like I don’t want to face the lecturer, especially when my work doesn’t meet the standards I aspire to.
Overall, this semester has been a journey of growth, resilience, and embracing new challenges, leaving me eager to continue improving my skills in environment design.
