Production
After receiving instruction from Mr. Martin on equipment usage, our group commenced production shooting in campus. We also conducted a shooting practice session before starting. As the assistant director, my responsibility was to ensure that filming stayed on track while creating a conducive work environment for the director, actors, and crew. Throughout the shooting process, our team effectively managed time, completing the production shoot within the allocated 4-hour timeframe. To capture the swing scene, we relocated to DK.
Post - Production
After the production shoot, our producer uploaded all the selected videos to Google Drive for us to begin editing.
Mr. Martin said don't edit the video according to the original, as it is boring. Instead, he suggested making it more like a trailer to make it more interesting.
Video Transition
I use various transitions for different purposes in the video editing. I began with a "dip to black" transition. To convey the shift from the moment she sees the message (before) to the point where they mend their relationship (now/future), I utilized a "film dissolve" transition. I also uses different transitions depending on the scene.

Vignette Effect
I applied a vignette effect to the first two scenes by creating an adjustment layer and placing it over the respective videos. To achieve this effect, I searched for the circle effect and dragged it onto the adjustment layers. In the effect control panel, I changed the blending mode to "stencil alpha" and adjusted the radius and feather of the outer edge. I found a helpful tutorial on YouTube to guide me through the process.

Color Correction
After finishing the addition of transition effects, I proceeded to fine-tune the basic color correction and color grading. I made adjustments based on the mood and feeling I wanted to convey in each scene. To maintain consistency within the same scene and match the desired effects, I saved presets and applied them to ensure uniform tones throughout the video.

Rolling Credits
Finally, I added rolling credits to complete the video.

Exercise 2 - Tiktok
In this exercise we are instructed to shoot a TikTok video.
1. Ideas and Storyboarding
My idea is to create transition scenes that represent different places and incorporate dancing or movement into each transition.

2. Production
Because I had to shoot the video in one day, and I'm quite introverted, I chose a secluded location—my boyfriend's house—where there were no people around to film.

All my scenes were shot with my phone, and I have exported them to my Google Drive.

3. Editing
Music & Effects
After arranging the sequence, I edited the videos by cutting them to create smooth transitions. I also added effects such as dip to black and cross-fades to enhance the video's flow. Finally, I added music to complete the project.

I also noticed a problem: when I exported the video, it became overexposed, even though it appeared fine in Premiere Pro.

Color Grading

After making color adjustments to each individual frame to enhance the video's color, I applied an adjustment layer for overall color grading. I used the same adjustments consistently throughout the entire video to maintain a uniform look.

FEEDBACKS
Week 7: So, if your video is ready for execution, you can start shooting.
Week 9: You can add wordings and color adjustments.
REFLECTION
I encountered difficulties while working with a large group during the video shoot. Although everyone had their designated roles, not everyone contributed effectively. Despite the time constraints, we managed to complete the shooting. Exercises 1 and 2 taught me color adjustment and grading, which made me feel like I was editing a Hollywood movie. However, I found shooting during exercise 2 challenging. As an introvert, I felt uncomfortable and intimidated by the presence of many people. This fear made the shooting experience quite awkward for me. Nonetheless, throughout Project 2, I learned valuable lessons in video editing and color adjustment.
